Hi.

We'd love to hear from you!

Ep. 14 - Traveling, Hosting & Food!

Ep. 14 - Traveling, Hosting & Food!

Hey everyone! Can you believe Christmas is almost here? We hope you're just about ready! Today marks the one week countdown to Christmas, and usually the time that includes lots of travel! Today we are talking about traveling with kids, hosting family and out of town guests, and FOOD!

Courtney talked about the Cup of Jo blog that she reads, and more specifically this post about the one room to clean if you have last minute guests coming to visit. Jennifer mentioned again the book Boundaries by Drs. Henry Cloud and John Townsend. It's always a great idea to visit the topic of boundaries when talking family and house guests! Haha! ;)

Here are some easy recipes for the holidays:

Paula Deen's Corn Casserole Recipe

Monkey Bread Recipe (Courtney omits the raisins and walnuts)

Hash Brown Casserole Recipe

French Toast Casserole Recipe

Want to track Santa's whereabouts like Courtney and her family used to? Check out NORAD Santa Tracker! Also check out Sally Clarkson's podcast episode talking about having a 'Shepherd's Dinner' - what a sweet idea!

From this week's "I'm Totally Into...." segment:

Courtney's pick is Gap's Softspun Cowlneck Tunic - who's going to buy her the pink color? It's the only one she doesn't have yet! (Be sure to dry them on the drying rack so they will stay soft!)

Jennifer's pick is the book, 52 Things Kids Need from a Mom by Angela Thomas. Each chapter is just a few pages - think one chapter each week! - and a great nugget to focus on for the week. Dads, you can check out 52 Things Kids Need from a Dad by Jay Payleitner.

Have a beautiful Christmas, mamas! We will have an short episode for you next week on Christmas Day - listen with your kiddos!
