Ep. 58 - Potty Training! Eek!
Hello mamas!! How is everyone? We are straight up freezing here in Nashville! When was fall supposed to happen? Because we missed it! 😂
Today we are talking POTTY TRAINING - what, what?! We aren’t claiming to be experts, but we are talking about our five experiences. And they all poop on the potty now, so even if we aren’t experts, we were ultimately successful! Haha! Potty training has got to be one of the most not-looked-forward-to (is that a term?) things about parenting. And it is hard. There are challenges, and obstacles, and personalities(!) that make every experience unique. We talked about our experiences in this episode, and hope to give you hope that you will make it, if you haven’t taken this on yet! 😂 We had quite a few things we referenced in this episode as well. Courtney mentions the Oh Crap! Potty Training book by Jamie Glowacki, the Potty Watch, and the Potty Seat for Toilet.
We also mentioned A Potty for Me by Karen Katz, P is or Potty! Elmo book, and Once Upon a Potty by Alona Frankel. Jennifer’s Nathan was given Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi by a friend, which the kids also liked (of course they did!) and she’s also a fan of the IKEA Potty Training Chair. Courtney also referenced Ralphie Jacobs Simply on Purpose instagram.
And Jennifer got the full run down on how Poo-Pourri Before-You-Go Toilet Spray works. Anyone else hearing about this for the first time, too?
Jennifer is totally into her “official” coffee drink. Took a while to get it just how she likes it, but it’s a “Triple Tall Latte” (Comes with 3 shots of espresso and half the cup is milk!)
Courtney is totally into Bai Coconut Flavored Water. Anyone else? What is your favorite? Jennifer got to taste test on the show!
And lastly, don’t forget to listen in the next two weeks to Aspen Ideas to Go Episode 195: The Perils of Over-Parenting. We will be discussing this in an episode soon!
If you have any questions, or any tips/tricks, about potty-training, post them below! We’d love to hear from you! Have a great week, mamas!!
