Ep. 56 - The Book Club with "Tell Me More" by Kelly Corrigan
Hey everybody! Today’s episode is kiiiind of like our first “book club” episode! We reviewed a lot of books in our first year, but now in our second year, we are kicking off our book club! Every other month, we will discuss a book we have already pointed you to and read, and at the end of the episode, will announce the next book club’s book to read! And then you will will have 8 weeks to read the next book we chat about! Today, we are talking all about the book, Tell Me More: Stories About the 12 Hardest Things I’m Learning to Say by Kelly Corrigan. We first heard of this book from Episode 22 with David Thomas & Sissy Goff. We would LOVE to hear from you who have read the book in our comments below or on Instagram or Facebook! What did you think of this book??
We’ve mentioned Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend before, and we do it again in this episode! Jennifer also mentioned the book Loving My Actual Life: An Experiment in Relishing What’s Right in Front of Me by Alexandra Kuykendall. We also referenced our episode 39 (Walking Through Hard Times with a Friend) and Jennifer talked about this contemporary routine by Kayla and Kupono on season five of So You Think You Can Dance. You can also hear author Kelly Corrigan on the B&N Podcast here.
And our next book club book will be….. drumroll……
How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk by Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish! You have 8 weeks to read this and join us for our discussion on December 3rd when we talk about it! Annnnnd GO!
From our “I’m Totally Into” segment:
Courtney (and Jennifer, too!) is totally into Lauren Daigle’s new album, Look Up Child. This album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart three weeks ago and it. is. so. good.
Jennifer is totally into her Nathan’s jalapeños. This is his second season of pickling jalapeños, and she’s using them to build up her heat tolerance. They are fire-breathing hot, y’all. High up on that Scoville Heat Scale!
Let us know what you thought about Tell Me More, and have a great week!!
