Ep. 29 - Things I Wish I Had Known...about Trying to Start a Family!
Hey friends! First off, we want to congratulate our two winners of our recent giveaway! What a huge response from you guys - over 1600 entries! It was amazing! One mama got a week of camp at Mapleridge Ranch, and the other winner got a box full of "Totally Into" prizes! CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS!
Second of all.... Today's episode! It's second in our series of "Things I Wish I Had Known..." It's all about trying to start a family/thinking about starting a family! We aren't talking fertility today - we want to give that topic it's own episode and bring people around the table with us for that one. Today we are just talking about when it's time to have that conversation - what do we wish we had known going into the conversation about expanding the family? Courtney loves her some Cup of Jo blog - here's a post she mentioned on 'Having an Only Child'. She also talked about the Fertility Friend app and the Fertility Basal Thermometer. Jennifer and Courtney are both proponents of BabyWise: Giving Your Infant the Gift of Nighttime Sleep. Not necessarily a book to read just yet if you're just having the first conversations of expanding a family, but a great one to put in the queue!
And the comedy sketch we talked about... 'People with No Kids Don't Know'. Y'all. Just watch this. We crack up every time.
From our "I'm Totally Into..." segment:
Jennifer is totally into the Marco Polo app. It's a fun way to have ongoing visual conversations with friends and family if you don't like sending taped video back and forth and taking up space on your phone.
Courtney is totally into Google Photos - a great way to store your pictures!
Have a great week, mamas!
