Ep. 39 - Walking Through Hard Times with a Friend
Hey everybody! We hope you are having a wonderful June so far! Today's episode is a really great one. We had a dear friend join us for today's episode. Marianne Bennett is our "Plus One" today, and she is with us talking about how to walk with a friend through a hard time. Sometimes, we don't know what to do or how to help, and Marianne has some really wonderful wisdom and examples of things we can do and say. We think you're really going to love her. (Unfortunately, the seasonal allergies got to Jennifer right at the beginning of the episode and she had to bow out early in the taping of the episode - please excuse her background hacking! #sadface)
Marianne mentioned that she was "on" another podcast - an episode of Young House Love Has a Podcast! Her review of a shower head won her a fancy schmancy faucet for her mudroom sink. Podcast reviews DO matter! (And y'all can leave us one here! 😂)
When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi is a great book Courtney mentioned for some perspective on what a terminally ill person might be thinking and feeling. And Marianne mentioned the children's book, Someone I Love Died by Christine Harder Tangvald, which addresses death in a way children can understand.
From our "I'm Totally Into..." segment:
Courtney is totally into O'Keeffe's for Healthy Feet Cream - so good for those summer flip-flop feet right now!
We hope you enjoy today's episode - HUGE thanks to Marianne! Have a great week, mamas!
