Ep. 45 - Our "Monica Closet" - Organizing Kids' Stuff
Hey everybody! Today's episode is so appropriately named, we think. Everyone familiar with "Monica's closet?" Check out this video clip if you need reminding! So in today's episode, we are chatting about all the stuuuuufffffff that comes with kids, that we don't know what to do with, that ends up in a "closet" somewhere. Anyone else, other than us?
So, Jennifer talked about her system for school papers. It's very similar to this post from Lindsay's Sweet World: How to Organize All Your Child's School Papers in Just One Box. Here is the box Jennifer uses, but this one and this one look great, too!
Here is the picture frame Courtney talked about to swap out and rotate your kids' art. And here - HERE! - is the blog post she mentioned about the quilt made out of the baby/toddler clothes. Oh my word. This is the most precious thing ever.
Below is the artwork Jennifer talked about that her friend had made. These canvases are about 30 inches by 30 inches, completely made from her kids' artwork cut up and pieced together to make one big amazing piece of art. How fabulous is this?? THIS is a great idea for all the kids' artwork!
From our "I'm Totally Into..." segment:
Courtney is totally into the Melissa & Doug Treasure Hunt Diving Game - so good for new swimmers to get those faces underwater!
Jennifer (and her whole family) is totally into the Phase 10 Card Game. It is addictive! And if you already play, you know keeping score can get tricky, so here is the scorecard her husband made for you to download!
What tips and tricks do you use for those things that pile up over the years? Art? Schoolwork? Papers? Pictures? We'd love to hear from you! Have a great week, mamas!
