Hi.

We'd love to hear from you!

Ep. 51 - Working Moms with Special Guests, The New Mystique

Ep. 51 - Working Moms with Special Guests, The New Mystique

Hey everybody! Happy Labor Day!!! In the spirit of "Labor Day," we brought on our friends Hilary Barnett and Amanda Phillips from The New Mystique to talk about being a working mom. Their blog and podcast focuses on exploring the intersection of motherhood and work. Here is their instagram! And here is Hilary's company, Savvee!

The books we mentioned in this episode are 50 American Heroes Every Kid Should Meet and  Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives by Richard Swenson.

We talked about a lot of podcasts in this episode, too! Specific episodes we referenced were Episode 19 - The Enneagram & Mommin' with Beth McCord (one of our all time faves around here!), How I Built This with Sara Blakely (creator of SPANX), The Second Mountain by David Brooks via the Aspen Ideas To Go Podcast, and the Second Life podcast (the one with Jessica Alba, in particular). We also talked about the Raising the Bar Podcast with Alli and Michael and the Call Your Girlfriend podcast.

From our "I'm Totally Into..." segment:

Hilary is totally into Goodreads.com (so are we!) and the Libbyapp.com. And here is the alovelybookshelf instagram!

Amanda is totally into the Nashville Public Library (it's amazing, y'all) and the YMCA.

Courtney is totally into her Tweezerman Safety Slide Callus Shaver with Rasp. This thing is no joke.

Jennifer is totally into ebates! You guys must check this out for cash back when shopping online - it's for real!

Happy laborin' today, mamas! Because even if we aren't working in the traditional sense, we are ALLLLLL ALWAYS WORKING! Amiright??
