Ep. 55 - Things I Wish I Had Known...about Having a Second Baby!
Hey everybody!! HAPPY OCTOBER!! Fall is here and while it’s been pretty warm around these parts, we’ve had a couple cool days and are loving it!
Today is our final installment in the “Things I Wish I Had Known” series and we are finishing up with things we wish we had known about having a second (or more) child! But first, we mentioned at the beginning of the episode that we will be attending the Business Boutique Event in November here in Nashville. We would love to connect with any of you listeners that are going! Let us know if you are going to be there! Back on to the show….
We began by referencing our episode where we talked about Birth order. Jennifer also talked about the Today.com article about how having 3 kids is most stressful. Anyone else agree? I’m sure there will be mixed opinions on that! Haha. And in case you’re in the place of still deciding whether you should continue growing your family, here is the Heidi St. John podcast episode Jennifer mentioned where she discusses that. Courtney talks about the only child article on Cup of Jo (she loves that blog, doesn’t she? 😜). Jennifer mentioned this study that the USDA put out (page 20), that shows the financial “implications” (haha) of adding additional children to the family.
And finally, we mentioned the book Tell Me More by Kelly Corrigan - don’t forget to read it this week! Next week, we will be discussing this book as the first in our “book club!”
From our “I’m Totally Into..” segment:
Courtney is totally into The Gospel Comes with a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield. Anyone else read this yet? It’s on Jennifer’s list, for sure.
Jennifer is totally into her overalls. So glad they are BAAAAACK!!!!!!! The ones she has were on clearance at the Gap ($19.99 woot-woot!), but here are some cute ones from H&M, the Gap, Free People (lots of colors!), and Old Navy, and here are some reeeeally cute ones for your daughter!!
Have a great week, mamas! Get out there (take your allergy meds) and enjoy the cooler weather!
